Commemorating the 2010 NBA All-Star Weekend in Dallas, adidas Consortium present two versions of the Artillery Mid that will be worn on court for the duration of the Celebrity All-Star Game by the final participants. Each version features all the tried and tested Artillery features including the Torsion system and padded ankle support for maximum comfort and flexibility. Strictly limited in number, this is the first time that top tier NBA All Star related product will be sold outside the All-Star weekend venue. 10 models of both the East and West version will be made available to 5 selected Consortium accounts, with a further 150 pairs available at the All-Star Weekend in Dallas.

Take one iconic running shoe, add a hiking boot, some crayons and blend until smooth.  That’s the recipe for this pack of New Balance WRC576FRs, who come to us in two rainbow colourways.  One of them has the primary colours plus brown on the tongue, while the other has a sort of American Southwest-styled palette.  Both take the NB576 running silhouette up to a midtop boot complete with metal eyelet loops, plus a rugged textured sole.  Expect to see both pairs in New Balance retailers soon; they just popped up at Korea’s Kasina.

Vans Vault introduces the Mountain Edition Mid, part of the brand’s Spring/Summer campaign for 2010. The kicks feature the classic styling synonymous with the Mountain Edition line, yet take on a sleeker, mid top design. All three versions feature tonal suede construction with white contrast stitching and complimentary panel colors. Now available through Vans Vault retail accounts.

Much like the previous Trainer drop, Nike develops a special two-pack for its 20th Anniversary of the Trainer SC. The kicks are offered in two distinct colorways, including one made in commemoration of Bo Jackson in an updated Auburn scheme, with the other following a St. Louis Cardinal’s color scheme/design, of course paying tribute to Albert Pujols. The dual pack, which also features a pair of socks, looks to drop February 10th, 2010 via select retailers, including Nikestore.com.

For whatever reason, the white/black/green/gum Nike Air Max 1 from Patta’s 5th anniversary never made it to retail.  Here’s a look at an updated AM1 that keeps it old school by giving us more gum.  This Air Maxim 1 Torch+ ND has alot of what’s new from Nike in both materials and colour combinations, but it’s all applied to a shoe lovingly known as “The ’87s”.  They’ve still yet to touch down in stores here in the states, but it’s only a matter of time; they just popped up at Dunk.com.cn

The Hundred’s ever popular signature model is back with a new range of colorways for the 2010 Spring/Summer season. Some years back, Nike released an Air Force 1 Mid designed by collabo kingpin Stash for Recon.  2008 saw the release of the AF-X pack which included the steel-toed camo printed AF1 Mids, a BioKNX backpack, and a laptop pouch, gadget pouch, digi pouch and cell phone case, all in neoprene.  Now, all that neoprene jazz and the backpacks are all gone, but Stash is known to keep massive deadstock ’supplies’ so he can give them out to friends and family.  This time, it’s going to be a special re-release at Boston’s Concepts, featuring a Recon/Concepts logo laser etched onto the outer toebox.  They will sell alongside a matching digital camo phone case, that may or may not be the same one from 2008.  Stash will be on hand at Concepts this weekend for the re-release, so if these are a must for you, mark Saturday, February 13th on your calendar and get ready for a cold wait in line.

In a continued look into the Pointer’s 2010 Spring/Summer collection, the brand unveils one of its seasonal favorites, the mid-cut Mathieson. A colorway update for this time around brings together a tonal brown upper over a series of different materials including canvas and suede. The use of a bright safety orange liner peers out from the edges of the collar. Look for the Mathieson to hit select retailers this season with more information such as stockists available at the Pointer website.

The Ricoh GR camera has a long history within Stussy’s roots. From the late 90’s onto today, the GR’s stealth design, easy-carry pocket size and ability to capture all the grit of the streets has made the GR an icon within our culture. In celebration of the Stussy x GRIII Digital camera collaboration, Stussy wanted to share the GRIII’s capabilities by way of creation, so they gave 10 photographer friends the GRIII to shoot what they see and feel. We’ve seen some impressive NBA player exclusive sneakers lately, and this weekend was an eclectic mix.  Sacramento is excited about the future of Kings guard Tyreke Evans, but it’s scoring machine Kevin Martin who rocked some sick Air Jordan XII PEs in Toronto. A few hours southeast, Dwight Howard somehow evaded a fine for his Magic Beast adidas TS Supernatural Commander, which doesn’t exactly match the Magic’s retro uniforms. A guy who plays his home games just down the road from that Orlando vs Boston game, Andre Iguodala looked fresh in the Nike Zoom Skyposite, but still no gum soles (this makes the Dwight Howard kicks even more baffling).

Now, the rest of these guys aren’t household names, but they certainly do have remarkable footwear.  Start that list with LA Clipper Bobby Brown, who dusted off the Carmine Air Jordan VI Retros versus the Spurs.  In that same game, San Antonio guard George Hill was spotted in the black Air Flightposite II.  Last but not least, the winner for quirkiest-NBA-Feet-entrant is Chicago’s Devin Brown in the Nike Trainer 1 Low.  Be sure to stick with Sneaker News for the latest NBA PE sneakers.

LeBron James has been wearing Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier models each year since he singlehandedly took the Cavs to the NBA Finals in 2007.  He’s probably hoping that this shoe’s suggestion of carrying over the regular season will inspire his NBA-leading Cavaliers to the chip.  The Nike LeBron VII PS means no more Big Z in the Soldiers, but we can only assume most of King James’ cohorts will rock the same shoes again this postseason.

The LeBron VII PS is very similar to the Air Max LeBron VII, but also very different.  Most obviously, gone is the 360 Air cushion, replaced by Zoom Air within the new sole.  The tongue is also alot bigger, and draws your attention to changes aroundthe ankle collar.  These black, red and white joints are likely an away colourup, but you’ll get to find out for yourself before they hit the courts.  Expect them at Nike Basketball retailers like Foot Locker on Saturday, March 27th.

Here’s proof that some things are more important than holding a grudge over a missed handshake.  Like a chance to remake one of the most memorable TV commercials ever.  LeBron James and Dwight Howard would never be in a shoe commercial together, but they would show up with Larry Bird in a McDonald’s spot that evokes his epic game of HORSE with Michael Jordan in 1993.  Anyone over 25 is just going to love this, and it’s cool to see some of the stuff that younger guys might have missed, being remixed and made relevant for today.  Whether you missed it during the Super Bowl or just wanna see the insane 2010 NBA Dunk Contest that never was, click the jump below for both legendary Mickey D’s ads.
